Our Story
The decision to bring our services together under the Toucan Giving brand marks an important step in the evolution of the PAYA Group. It reflects not only our growth, but also our commitment to supporting the entire charitable giving ecosystem, from charities and fundraisers to donors, corporate partners, and retailers.
As our portfolio of solutions has expanded, so has our mission. Today, Toucan Giving provides a clear and trusted identity across our products and services, helping charities embrace modern fundraising while making it easier for donors to support the causes they care about.
Our journey has been shaped by innovation and a deep understanding of the evolving needs of the charity sector.
In 2022, PayaCharity acquired the Toucan App, now known as Toucan Donate, enabling donors to easily set up and manage regular charitable donations. Following its appearance on Dragons' Den, the app gained national recognition and helped raise awareness of digital giving.
Building on that success, we launched Toucan Collect in 2024, allowing charities and fundraisers to accept contactless donations directly from their smartphones. In 2025, we expanded the platform further with a cash deposit service, helping charities overcome the growing challenges of banking cash donations in an increasingly cashless world.
As our solutions continued to evolve, we brought them together under the Toucan Giving brand in 2025, reflecting our broader purpose of delivering innovative fundraising technology that helps organisations maximise donation opportunities across every channel.
We continue to support the sector through our annual Cashless Optimisation Events, bringing together charities of all sizes to share experiences, explore emerging technologies, and learn practical, proven approaches to modern fundraising.
2026 is set to be another exciting year for Toucan Giving. With the introduction of our Free Terminal Programme and Toucan JustGiving, we are expanding our support for both charities and individual fundraisers not directly affiliated to charities. Whether you're a charity, volunteer, or individual fundraiser, Toucan is committed to making fundraising easier, helping more people support the causes they care about through simple, accessible fundraising solutions.
