Our Story

The decision to unify our services under the Toucan Giving brand is a carefully considered evolution in the development of the PAYA Group of companies. This change reflects not only our growth, but also our expanding commitment to supporting the third sector in its entirety—from charities and fundraisers to donors, corporate sponsors, and retailers.

As our portfolio of solutions has grown, so has our mission. Today, our offerings go far beyond our origins. We believe the Toucan Giving brand effectively connects with all our stakeholders, offering a clear, trusted identity across every product and service. By adopting a single, cohesive brand, we aim to strengthen confidence in our fully compliant solutions and encourage even greater generosity from donors in support of the causes they care about.

In 2022, PayaCharity acquired the Toucan App—now known as Toucan Donate—a mobile platform that enables donors to easily set up and manage regular contributions. The app gained national attention after its appearance on Dragons' Den, helping to raise awareness of digital giving.

Building on that success, we introduced Toucan Collect in 2024, expanding support for contactless fundraising, followed by Toucan Cash in 2025, designed to ease banking frustrations for charities.

By 2025, our solutions had outgrown their original labels. We brought everything together under the Toucan Giving name to reflect our broader purpose: delivering innovative, practical solutions that empower the third sector and help maximise donation potential across every channel.
